This week I wanted to do a body shot instead of just my head like the last couple of weeks. I have a pool table in the back room of my house and it's almost never used. Just a few years ago, my aunt, sister and I all played pool with one another every week. My aunt used to be the captain of her pool team awhile back, so she taught my sister and I. We would practice hard every week and have a blast while doing it. What I love most about this shot is the dramatic lighting. I emphasized the light in photoshop on the ball. I wanted to show what I was hitting. I wanted it to look like a smokey pool hall in one of those mobster movies.

This is a nice shot! what a funny pun? -__- lol no, I really like this , though. I like the grayscale and positioning of this. The light peering in through the window and onto the cue ball, while you are in the darkness. It's got a cool vibe to it, if anything, I'd of tried to lighten up some of the shadowing cause you may be a bit too dark and it takes away from yourself and your looks, which I found should be more captivating then the cueball itself. I like, Gwen, nice job!
ReplyDeleteThis picture is really nice, the gray scale has a nice smokey pool hall feel to it. Makes it feel like your going to trump someone in a game of pool. I agree with Carl there could be a bit more light on you so that your not completely in the dark.
